This document summarizes my latest research in Computer Science at the University of Oviedo.

Dr. Gonzalez-Rodriguez is a researcher and consultant on Web design strategy and Usability Engineering, being the author of more than one hundred publications in the field.

Former photographer and graphic designer, he works as associated professor for the Department of Computer Science of the University of Oviedo since 1996, being the Head of the Human Communication and Interaction Reseach Group since 2001.

Founder of the ICWE (International Conference on Web Engineering) (2001) and eMinds: International Journal on Human-Computer Interaction (2002), he is member of the editorial board of several other international refereed research forums, including IEEE Multimedia, IEEE Software and IJWET (International Journal on Web Engineering and Technology).

The quality of his research work has been awarded by the Spanish Office of Science and Technology, also receiving the ONCE International Research and Development Award in New Technologies for the Blind and Visually Impaired (2008), the Vodafone Research Award on Mobile Technology (2008), the Degree Project Award (2007), the Best Accessible Web Design Intenet Day Award (2007), the Best Research Project e-Asturias Award (2006) and the Best Research Project on Web Accessibility TAW Award (2005).

His PhD thesis was also awarded as the best research in Computer Science of the University of Oviedo (2001).
